Kent’s newest charity is here and looking to offer children with life-limiting illnesses the chance to have one last wish. Whether this is the chance to watch their favourite football team play, a specific toy or a piece of equipment that will improve their daily routine, the Kent Wish Foundation aim to help as many children in the county as possible.
Parent’s and guardians have the chance to nominate their child for a wish via the website www.kentwish.co.uk. Trustees then meet to decide which wishes to grant based on a variety of factors including funds available. It is hoped that wishes can be granted on a monthly basis dependent on the type of wish applied for.
Charity trustee Dominic Comins says “Having worked within the charity sector for the past five years it is brilliant that I can now offer my services to a cause that i truly believe in. There is nothing better than to see a child smile and knowing that we can contribute to this, especially for those children that are going through such a horrible period, is very satisfying”
